This ground beef taco bowl recipe is one of our go-to recipes for quick weekday meals.
It takes less than 30 minutes to make and is super easy to double or triple the servings to feed 2, 4, 6 or more people at once.
To cook this recipe fast, you’ll need two skillets (one for ground beef, one for peppers and onions) and a spatula. That’s all.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles
Instructions
- Slice onions and peppers into thin strips.
- Put peppers and onions into their own skillet at medium heat. You’ll be using two skillets for this recipe. It’ll go faster if you have the peppers and onions on one burner and ground beef on another.
- Place the ground beef in a skillet on your stovetop. Turn to medium-high heat and break up the ground beef as it cooks. Continue to stir and break apart the ground beef until no signs of red or pink color remain.
- Tip the pan and use the spatula to allow grease to pool to the edge of the pan. Spoon out the grease and dispose into a glass jar. We save old pickle jars just for this reason!
- Add spices to the ground beef. Then add cooked peppers and onion to the ground beef and mix all together.
- You’re ready to eat! Serve in large bowls.
